When I run the disk defragmenter. I get message the scan has been canceled
because an error occurred in the file J:recycled/dj3.mp3
I get a exploer.ex corrupt file. the file or directory/recycledd/dj3 is
corrupt and unreadable. Please run the chkdsk utily.
When I run the chkdsk utilty I get. Disk does not exit/disk check exited
abruptly.
When I look in by Recyced. I do not see dj3 in it.
When I empty the recyle bin on my j drive or main drive I get the file or
directory is corrupt & unreadable run the chkdsk untilty. Under details I get
recycled/folder/attributes:hidden
can someone please help

If still Windows CHKDSK won't complete or even if it completes check the
Winlogon entry in the Event Viewer upder Applications to check the disk scan
results. you can also run a complete check to see if you have no bad sectors
etc (using chkdsk /r), but this will take much more time to complete than
ordinary disk check.

1. Empty your Recycle Bin before you start the defrag.

2. Go to the hard drive manufacturer's web site and download their
free diagnostic utility. Run that to check out the hard drive for
possible problems.

Good luck
