Recently installed Windows XP Professional. Today, an icon appeared in the
tray that said that my C: drive was close to being full and asked if I wanted
to clear up some space. After replying 'yes', it went through some steps for
about 5 minutes. When I closed all the dialog boxes, almost all of my
desktop icons were gone. I also found that almost 2000 iTunes songs were
totally removed plus every file in my My Documents folder (many) and probably
many more. I've searched the computer and it appears that all these files
are actually gone, but is it possible to remove over 10 GB of info, including
songs and Word files from personal folders without any prompts? Any help is
appreciated. This is frustrating.
