Discussion Lists

Hello,

I have what might be considered a rather inconspicuous website
featuring the poetry of a 16th century English writer on Tripod.
However the discussion list has been bombarded by advertisers posting
links to various gambling, drugs and porn sites.

The traffic reported by Tripod reaches 200 hits per day although the
home page counter rarely moves. I have noticed that the free, allotted
space is filling up quickly. I believe it is possible to edit these
when opening frontpage, as there cannot possibly be any commercial
value to all this trafficking, except perhaps to my web host.

Also is there a way, or rather it is there some advantage to branching
the posts into sub pages after so many posts the way it is done on
google or yahoo group lists?

Ths spam bots are not actually opening your home page, so your FP hit
counter won't reflect it. The FP hit counter is really rather worthless,
compared to the stats tracking offered by a host.

The functionality doesn't exist with the FP discussion web.

So, is it ok to just start deleting the spam posts?
