Disconnecting usb device problem

Every time I try to disconnect my usb thumb drive a warning appears stating
that the drive cannot be removed because it is being accessed by another
program. Downloaded an unlocker program to check which program is trying to
access the thumb drive and it states there is none. Any help would be
appreciated..

If you aren't accessing it - writing data to it - you should be fine.

Found the problem, it was a win32 trojan, disabled system restore and ran
adaware software and deleted the malware, funny microsoft malicious software
failed to pick it up and so did several other programs.
