Disconnected to Network Drives/Log-in Problems

Everyone,

I have been having problems lately with Windows XP Professional;
(1) disconnected network drives from client computers. Everyday I have to
map the network drives on some of the client computers. The network drives
keeps on disappearing after logging in the next day. Only few client
computers are having this problem.
(2) one of the laptop that I set-up is having problems logging in to Windows
domain. I have set everything the same as before but I am receiving a message
something like this one "Invalid username and password. Domain controller
cannot be contacted. Windows NT refused log-in credentials"; I don't clearly
remember what the message is.

The steps already taken for:
(1) Scanned the affected client computers for viruses/malwares. I think this
is not a virus/malware problem though.
(2) Disconnect and Re-connect to the domain to log-in to the domain, it
works. Any other way?

2. I would check the DNS settings.

(1) Yes. Log-on scripts from Windows Server 2003, I think.

(2) The laptop is on DHCP not on static IP.
