disc web problem

How do you keep the discussion webs from getting messed up when publishing
back and forth?
messages keep disappearing etc..
I do not mind starting over, cause it's all lost anyway.
should all "disc" files be copied to personal folder in online web?
 
Mark the local copy ( on your machine ) of the page with the discussion entries as "Do not publish"
