Disappering Filenames and Foldernames

So I'm in a folder (a generic folder I created on C that has photos and
folders for different months of photos in it. Up until yesterday, the
filenames and folder names showed up beneath the folders and files while
viewing in Thumbnail view. Interestingly enough, this folder and all
subfolders now no longer display the names beneath them. All I have are
folders I can't identify, and the photos themselves without the labels. I've
checked through the folder options, submenus and tried searching for some
info on it, but can't find anything obvious with which to fix it.

Any ideas as to what I should do to get the filenames and folder names
displayed again?

Switch to a different view then switch back to Thumbnails *holding Shift key*.
