Disappearing Printers

I have a client, when you go to the printers folder, all of the printers
missing. if you open word or excel you can see the printers, no icons though.
 
yes the printer spooler is running, i restarted the print spooler as well as
the comptuer.
 
i cant see the printers, is there another way to delete the printers? i can
see the printers in word and excel.
 
start/run, type :
devmgmt.msc
Your printer port may have a damaged driver.
