disappearing messages

after i read a message in this newsgroup and close my mail program
out......the message disappears....when i re-open my mail program
(outlook Express) the messages i wrote, and all responses, are
gone........???????

assuming you are using Outlook Express, click on view then current view and
make sure you don't have "hide read messages" clicked.

You are using Outlook Express, and you apparently have it set to
Hide Read Messages.

As far as I'm concerned, that's the preferable setting. I don't
want to have to plow through the many hundreds or thousands of
messages I've already read. But if you want to turn it off, it's
easy to do. Go to View | Current View, and click "Show all
messages."
