Disabling Windows XP's built-in zip support

Joshua

Am trying to disable Windows XP's built-in zip support.
Have tried methods provided by others from various sites
which is to unregister zipfldr.dll. Although it was
unregistered successfully, I can still open and extract
zip files ? Any idea why this is still happenning ?
Thanks in advance.

if you insatll winzip 8.1 [or any earlier version] it will take over the
handling of zip folders. I believe TweakUI can also be used to simply
turn off zip folders and have them be just regular files.

As I recall, all this works best if SP1 is installed, before SP1 XP had
some problems w/ *.zip files.
