More zip troubles

Hi folks,

I trawled around the search function for a while but seem to have found
an error that I just can't get rid of.

Dragging and dropping files *from* a zip file just isn't working. I'm
using the built in Windows zip manager and I haven't installed any
other apps for zipping (apart from WinRAR). I first noticed the problem
when I tried to copy some files over from my Smartphone via Activesync,
and since then I've discovered the same error with zip files.

It seems to copy ok but no files show up in my folder. If I choose the
long-winded extract from the zip manager, it works fine. But otherwise,
dragging and dropping from the zip file doesn't work. I can drag and
drop *in* to a zip file, but not out.

So far I've tried:

sfc /scannow (no use)
regsvr32 /u zipfldr.dll (same again)
regsvr32 zipfldr.dll (yep, useless)

Any ideas on this bizarre error?

-Zcott.

I suggest WinZip instead.
