Disabling Sound for good

If you would like to completely (did I spell that right?
(snikersniker)) shut off the sound, then you should
disable the sound card.
Right-click on my computer, then click on Manage, the find
and click Device Manager, then select anything that looks
like it controls the main sound. (Sound devices will be
under "Sound and Video Game Controllers") After you've
found the device, righ-click and select Disable. Then
reboot and the sound should be off.
But just remember, when kids can't listen to music or
sound, they tend to make their own...
Good Luck!!

To add to this, any user that can log on as an
Administrator-class account can enable these again.
Short of physically removing the sound card, you cannot
prevent that from happening...just a caveat if you let
people log in with Administrator accounts.

(Oh, and while I'm no longer in school, I actually learn
much better when I listen to music).
