Disabled security buttons

Hello,

I'm trying to change the security settings to enable
ActiveX controls, but all the buttons are disabled under
Tools --> Internet Options - >Security tab. How can i
enable Custom Level and Default Level buttons ?

Need help please.

I use IE6 on XP SP 1.

instructions from your link but it didnt help. All the
security buttons are still disabled.

i wish i could say the same i have windows server 2003
and am having the same problem, however i don't have the
CurrentVersion key in
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\.
i searched for the values below and they were not found in
the registry.

for some reason my first reply did not show up....
anyway, i am having the same problem, except i cannot
seem to fix it in this way. i am using windows server
2003 and don't have a CurrentVersion key located in
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows.
i also tried searching the registry for some of the
values you describe below and none were found. please
