IE6: remedy for prompts: "page contains secure and non-secure item

Marc

I have read here and used in the past the remedy for these prompts: Tools ->
Internet Options -> Security -> Internet (Custom Level) -> Miscellaneous ->
set Display Mixed Content to "enable." After accessing my webmail page this
way (for a very long time), this message has re-appeared (perhaps after a
recent IE6 update?) and I cannot get rid of it. (have tried "disable" as
well...). Am running WinXP SP3.

Any suggestions appreciated.

You may have to make two changes to your settings.

Tools-Internet Options-Advanced
Uncheck "Warn if changing between secure and not secure mode"

Tools-Internet Options-Security
Highlight Trusted Sites and click Custom Level
Go down to Miscellaneous
Set "Display mixed content" to Enable.
The default is Prompt.

Thanks for your suggestions. I tried them for all Zones and I am still
getting the prompt/message. It may be coincidence, but the few times I do
not get the prompt, e.g., if I am accessing the Inbox page after logging into
webmail, the ads on the page are loading "properly." If the ads do not load,
say when I navigate between Inbox and Suspect Mail, I get the prompt -- which
is what happens usually. IE6 displays in the ad location: Internet Explorer
was unable to link to the Web page you requested. The page might be
temporarily unavailable

Any thoughts?
