How do I disable the "this page contains both secure and non secure items"
alert in IE6?

Try going to IE's Tools | Internet Options... menu. Select the
Security tab, make sure the "Internet" zone is selected, then click on
the Custom Level button. There is an option "display mixed content";
click on either "enable" or "disable", according to your preference.
I think that will stop IE from prompting you about this.
