I posted this question a week ago and got a fast answer.
Unfortunately, I assumed too quickly that it solved my
problem. It turns out it didn't, and so I'm reposting.
I use the Westlaw web site to do legal research. I've added
it to my trusted zone, but every time I go to the web site,
I get a message that the page contains both secure and
nonsecure items. On one of my computers, the introductory
page is the only one that does that. On my laptop, however,
I get that message every time I go to a new web page on the
site. That slows down my research enough to be annoying,
since I have to click on the message to indicate whether I
want to display the nonsecure items -- which I do, in the
case of the WestLaw web site.
In the reply I received the first time, I was advised to
change these two settings:
First:
1. Tools | Internet Options | Advanced
2. Uncheck "Warn if changing between secure and not secure
mode"
Second:
1. Tools | Internet Options | Security
2. Highlight Trusted Sites | Custom Level
3. Under Miscellaneous, enable "Display mixed content" to
Enable.
I've done both those things, but I still keep getting the
message. Is there anything else I can do to get rid of it?
