Disable or hide IE6 on XP workstation

Client wants to disable or hide IE6 access on certain XP workstations on a
local network. Can this be accomplished by any means? User and/or password
restrictions does not seem a workable solution.

Goto the internet explorer directory in the programs directory. right click
on the ie icon select properties then the security tab. click on User and
then the deny for full control which will put a check mark in all the
options. (Note remember the system must have access) If a deny section is not
available. simply unclick the read and the read & execute boxes
