WindowsXP professioinal:

My friend's computer stops at "mup.sys" when booting up. He tried to
disable the mup by typing the command "disable mup" at the recovery console.
Great, It works!!!

Although it seems there is no impact to his computer after disabled mup, I
want to know how to enable the mup.sys again if necessary? Anybody can help?

Thanks

Mup.sys-It happens to be the last file loaded, probably a video driver-go

mup.sys (M)ultiple (U)NC (P)rovider is a component of DFS. For a home PC
it's probably not a big deal but I would try
(re)installing SP2 as a first step.
