disable ctr+alt+delete

I am trying to disable my computer from locking and
needing me to press ctrl+alt+delete to log back on after
it goes to sleep. The Help file and the Knowledge Base
article say something to the effect of:

"Open User Accounts in Control Panel.
Click the Advanced tab.
In Secure logon, select the Require users to press
Ctrl+Alt+Delete check box."

The problem is that there is no Advanced tab to click.
There is also no "Secure "Logon" to check, either (that I
could find).

Can somebody help?

Which version of Windows are you running?

Are you really talking about it going into a "sleep" mode, or is it just
screen-locking? If it's just screen-locking, you can go into Control
Panel -> Display, go to the Screensaver tab and uncheck the "password
required" box. Then you just wiggle the mouse or touch a key and the
system comes back up - no password required. In my own OS, I can get to
the Power management stuff from there as well. You can probably turn
off the "sleep" function entirely from there, if yours is the same.

Turning off the password may work even if it's really going to sleep.
I'm an evil energy-waster, and don't engage the sleep function. I power
down for the night when I'm done... even though I've got broadband.

Good luck!

Thanks for your reply. I just tried what you suggested
but "Secure Logon" was grayed out and I couldn't uncheck
it. I'll try what the other email below suggests.

Thanks,
Richard Silver
