my games (i.e medal of honor) keep hanging and when i
look in dxdiag and go to directx tab it says that several
files are missing. They are all microsoft dll files and
it says that I should re-install direct x. But i have
downloaded the latest version of direct x 9.0b and I
still have the microsoft files missing. I believe this is
what causes my games to hang or not run? Anyone know how
to reinstall the microsoft files?

You might also try installing the latest Direct X which is
now 9.0c. It's available on the MS website download
section.
