Directplay crashes

I would try using this free program to remove DirectX and
then reinstall the latest version downloaded from
http://support.microsoft.com/ -

DX Extractor (removes DirectX 9.x from all versions of
Windows) -

WHen I run Dxdiag it always crashes to the blue screen fo
death when running the Directplay tests. ALso, when I try
to join or host a direct IP game in Tiger Woods 2004 the
computer crashes the exact same way. I have tried to
reinstall DirectX 9.0b but the problem persists. I have
removed drivers and reinstalled them and they are all up
to date. The game (and Dxdiag) work fine on my older P3
but I continually get the blue screen of death on my main
pc.

Also go to the site of the makers of the video card and make sure you
have the latest version drivers for XP, to support interfacing with DX 9
(even if there is not hardware support on the card itself)
