Directx 9 Installation

I recently Purchased A RADEON (9550) Graphics Card And Installed it . Things
Appear to be Running fine . I Ran the ATI Multimedia Center Configuration
(Parent software of the Company that makes the Graphics Card) And Ran the
System Compatability Check , and Recieved this :
ATI Multimedia Center Configuration >PC Check (system compatability)
Failed :
DirectX install - Checks the installation of DirectX.
Test result: DX not installed properly.
Explanation: DirectX is not properly installed. DVD and TV will not work
without the appropriate version of DirectX.
Recommendation: Re-install DirectX 8.1 or later. ( I reinstalled Directx 9
and still fail this portion of test ) , I played A DVD after this and It
worked fine on ATI (DVD)
Is this something I can Overlook or is there something I am missing ?

Often you have to install the latest DirectX, then re-install your video
drivers.

Also Start | Run <type in> DXDIAG <enter> and see what DirectX has to
say.

I Have DirectX 9.0c
using DirectX Diagnostic everything O.K except
DirectX Files
warning ,
d3d9d.dll ver(9.11.0519.0000) Att(Final Debug) lang(English) Date(2/3/2006
09:43:22) size(3080400)
The file d3d9d.dll is a debug version, which will run slower than the retail
version.

I have DirectX 9.0c and I don't have a d3d9d.dll.
Dxdiag doesn't show it, nor does a search of two different XP OS
partitions. (Home and Pro).

Mayhaps a reinstall of DirectX?

Shoot just move (rename) d3d9d.dll some place else and see what
happens.
