DirectX 9.0b Fix

P

Peter Geddes

I have the 9800SE AIW and I was having the same problems as a few people
here when using MMC. Black screen, no TV signal, no composite input etc.

I have installed the DirectX Fix (as linked to in a few previous messages)
and this has not solved the problem.

I thought that there were 2 fixes not so long ago? Using WindowsXP SP1a,
DirectX 9.0b.

Can anyone help?

Thanks

Maybe you are runninga nother program which prevents the TV from working. I
had the old netmmeting running and TV did not work. Close all other progs
and try again.
Good luck

I have tried it just after booting (everything loaded) and it's still the
same.

It's quite annoying!!

Thanks for the reply

Are you talking about the
http://www.mustafa.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/fix.zip fix, Peter? Or M$'
own
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...6d-e177-4a0e-91d0-b4310675b02b&displaylang=en
fix?

I'm not sure, but I would have thought that if it was the DX9.0b
problem, then composite input should still work. I do know that my
VIVO card, which only has composite and S-Video inputs, is not
affected by the bug - works fine with PAL, and I've never installed
any of the fixes.

AFAIK it's specifically a tuner problem.

Definitely installed the MS fix. The other fix that you link to must be the
other one (I knew that there were 2 listed).

I will try the Blueyonder fix sometime tomorrow.

Thanks for the reply "patrickp"

I should have mentioned that I can still get sound through the TV Tuner. It
was setup a while back.
