Just did a reinstall of win2k Pro on my duel boot system.
My ATI Radeon 9500pro is reading an N/A for Total memory
in dxdiag, and the options for enabling ddraw and d3D
acceleration are zonked out at N/A. Divx Can;'t play at
full screen res and movement on my desktop is extremely
choppy.
Plus dxdiag says ddrawex.dll is missing.
Didn't have this problem in my previous win2k install, or
my win98 sys. Have already tried:
1) Installing Dx8.1 & Dx9.01b
2) Maxing Hardware acceleration
3) Upgrading to latest ATI catalyst / driver for the card
4) Running multiple resolutions at 70++Hz
5) Checked for Spyware and viruses
6) downloaded all latest win2k patches including SP4
I've run out of ideas, pls help!
