direct x not compatible.... LIES!!!

yeah. i'm trying to install halo so it says i need direct
x of course. i try installing it from the cd, all
different versions from the site, and it keeps telling me
it does not meet the compatibility standars for windows xp
home when it says in the direct x description that it is
xp compatible. any ideas?

I've seen this alot. It is a problem with "Halo" you can either ignor the msg
if the Game works or look on the Halo site and see if there is a patch for
your version of windows and/or look on the vendor page foe oyur card and see
whats there also.

Is the installer really saying that your video adapter is not
compatible?
