Windows XP digital camera

I recently had trouble with xp so i did a repair with the xp disc. I can no longer view my pictures on the pc. I have a medion camera, and there are two ways of installing, one you setup in mass just by a usb lead and not installing by a disc, and the second in twain mode using the disc. I have tried both and niether work. I have emailed medion but they never got back. I dont know if theres any connection but i also no longer get widows media player i get "an internal application has occured" can anyone help please.
