digital camera using as web cam -driver prob

hi can anyone help? I have posted before but someone out
there may know! I am using my digital camera as a
web cam to communicate with family and friends using msn
messenger. The problem is I load the driver and it shows
as being installed. But if i disconnect from pc and try
to use again and select launch cam it tells me a camera
has not been detected. As a work round i can reload the
driver using the cd from the supplier of my camera, but
this takes time and it restarts the pc etc... and then i
get the little icon telling me new hardware has been
found..i can then launch the programme and it will work
for one time. Once I stop the web conversation and if i
want to communicate with someone else it tells me a
camera has not been detected. Any suggestions welcome.
Sorry for the vagueness I am no technician!!
Thank you

It's fine that you're not a technician, but since you didn't tell us the
make/model of your camera, you might not get a whole lot of help.
Contact the camera's tech support.
