panasonic digital cam

HELP! can not get window xp to reconize new panasonic digital cam corder. I
connect with a usb cable with both cameras, and the other camera (olympus)
works just fine. I tried the camera and scanner wizard and it doesn't list
any thing for panasonic.

Install the XP drivers that should have come with setup
CD-ROM if not go to Panasonic's web site to see if they
have XP drivers for the Camcorder.

Is it XP SP2?
What's the model?
Visit the manufacturer's website and download/install the latest driver.

Bonnie:

Did you install the Panasonic software and try connecting the Cam
Corder via a IEEE 1394 cable (Firewire)? That means your computer
has to support Firewire. You can purchase a Firewire add on card and
cable together if it doesn't. Or purchase the new Pinnacle Studio
plus hardware included. I believe it sells for around $99.00 at Best
Buy.
