Hi all,

I seem to be having a problem with my USB devices, as in
they will not detect either of my (NEW) hand held cam
corder of my Nikon digital camera. I have never had any
trouble with my Nikon digital camera it always download
the images that have been taken, but all of a sudden when
i attach the camera through the USB device and click on
the image transfer on the camera it comes up with a
communications error. I suspect that the same is
happening with the Panasonic cam corder and until I can
identify what is wrong with the connection there is no
way that they are going to work correctly.

I have a windows XP machine and have installed the
software correctly for the both devices and checked the
drivers under device manager and they are showing as
being ok.

Does anyone have any idea what might be happening and how
I can rectify the problem.

Kind regards.

Peter.

Could it be that both your (or one or the other) new Panasonic cam
corder and Nikon digital camera require an IEEE 1394 (firewire)
connection instead?
