digital audio player

I recently bought a new computer and the o/s is windows
xp. i have this digital audio player from toshiba that is
a few years old. it worked fine with my old computer, but
it doesn't comply with windows xp. i looked for updates
but haven't found anything that would allow me to use my
audio player. i can't add or delete song from it because
the program it uses closes and the computer resets. where
can i look to find a solution and what can i do so it can
start working again?
