i have defined a different reply address for all outgoing messages.

i would like now to hide my address in the "from" field, better i would
like to show just my name or my name followed by the reply address.
i don't want to show the address used by outlook.

one solution would be to always type the reply address in the from
field before sending it but i'm sure there are better ways!

i'm using outlok 2002

many thanks for your help

If you're using Outlook, you'll have to show the address Outlook uses.
Unless you're using Exchange as your mail transport, you can make your
address anything you want. Whether or not your ISP will allow that is
another matter.

If you're using Exchange as your mail transport, you're out of luck. If
you're using a POP account, then click
Tools>E-mail Accounts. Check the "View or change existing e-mail accounts"
radio button. Click Next. Slect your POP account and click "Change".
Enter whatever you want in the "Your Name" and "E-mail Address" fields.
Click "More Settings. Enter whatever address you want in the "Reply E-mail"
(when your recipient clicks "Reply", it is to this address their message
will be sent). Click "OK", then "Next", then "Finish".
