From time to time my Win XP Pro machine or IE indicates
that there are Win XP updates available.

Should I apply them through XP Update Wizard or IE or
there is no difference, the end result is the same?
Is Win XP SP1 included in those upgrades?

Thank you,
alex

They are the same. SP1 one is one of the updates.

The message about the updates is presented to you becuase you've set the
computer to receive updates automatically (see My Computer, Properties,
Automatic Updates).

Thank you, Rob, for your help.

So, after applying updates suggested by XP Update Wizard I
do not need to download and apply SP1. Do I?

Thanks again,
alex
