dial up modem connection

I am attempting to connect two Win2k machines via a dial
up connection. I have used the new connections wizard to
create a new dial up connection and an incoming
connection. The modems are working as the incoming call is
answered but no connecition is made, error 678. The
machines are set up as a workgroup, should they be a
domain?

It doesn't matter if they are in a domain or workgroup. On the server
platform, incoming connections must be configured through RRAS. If this is
on Professional, the error codes indicates no answer. Does the modem work?

Thanks, the modem is working, that is it answers the call
which can be heard through the speaker, it can also
connect to an ISP ok. How do I configure incoming calls
through RRAS?

Is this a W2K Professional machine or a W2K Server ?
If it a server you can configure RRAS on it. Check this site:
