Hi, I have a USR V.Everything External modem that i use for backup purposes
to my adsl. I have noticed that when i:
1. go to 'phone and modem' in control panel
2. click "add" a modem
3. tick "dont detect my modem, i will select it from a list"
The list comes up but there are only "(Standard Modem Types)" in the
Manufacturer listing? Where have all the standard manufacturer modems gone
to? There use to be a bunch in there from 3com, USR, Hayes etc
etc.??????????
One other thing, does anyone know where i can get the dial-up modem drivers
for the USR V.Everything. Yessssssssss i know they are part of windows XP
(as everyone tells me) but they arent listed in the Manufacturer listing,
and the modem isnt detected when i plug it into the com port of my computer,
this is even if i go to "device manager" and do a "scan for hardware
changes"
Any help appreciated! Thanks!
Cheers,
Alan
