Dial up keeps popping up

When i'm using my pc, the internet dial up box keeps
popping up. How do i stop this or find out which
application is trying to connect to the internet??

Do you have a third party firewall program installed? If so, you can check
the event log and see what programs are trying to connect.

If in Internet Explorer, in the tools menu, under internet options
connection tab you have your default dial up connection set to 'always dial
my default connection' change it to 'dial whenever network connection not
present'.
