Dial up connection

Dial up connection screen appears at start up
I cant find what software might be wanting to access the
internet
I can cancel this screen but IE changes to working offline
If I restart with IE working offline the Dial up screen
does not appear
When I cancel IE working offline the screen then
reappears instantly
This doesnt cause problems but is very annoying
I run Windows XP
Please can someone help

Hello
Control Panel>Internet Options>Connection Tab>remove any dial up connections
you see in the window that you do not use, then you got 3 options below that
where you can select how and when to dial.

run spybot at safer-networking.org update and scan on
easy and remove spywares that want to contact home base.
