My dial up connection does not retain my password...?
Each time I attempt to dial up I now have to enter the dial-up
connection password!!

This problem first occurred this morning... I was on last the Internet
night with no problem.
I have not installed any new programs or performed any downloads.

I first assumed that my dial-up connection got corrupted,
Using the MS wizard I created a new dial-up connection,
(I did not delete to old) unfortunately I get the same results...?

If I re-enter the password, I can log-on OK.. else I wouldn't entering
this problem...duh!

I contacted my ISP and they were very gracious in not providing any
help...
They said it was a Microsoft issue....so I tried to called Bill
Gates...after letting the
phone ring a dozen times I figured he was busy and hung up...!

Any suggestions would be appreciated?

Boy do I feel stupid!
I went back and reviewed my Dial-up setting and noticed that Prompt for
name & password was checked along with Prompt for phone number
(somehow I missed it the first time)

I unchecked these two items and Walla (that's French for good job) it
fixed the problem.

What is puzzling is how, these two items got checked since last
night...I'm the only user...? Maybe I still need to place that call to
Bill

It's actually French for "see there" and spelled 'voila'.

What's he going to do about it? He didn't change your dialup settings.
Besides that he's semi-retired from Microsoft now, even if he wasn't I
doubt you could get him on the phone.

Did you create a new dialup connection or re-install a modem driver
lately? Did you download something that might have contained malware?
There are lots of possibilities. I'm glad you figured it out, though.
