Our network contains 2 server 15 computers running everything from 95 to xp.
My win2000pro machine is not receiving a dhcp address anymore..I cannot see
the network or get on the internet.. We have 2 hubs and 1 router and 1 cable
modem.. One of our servers is configured with a static ip.. so i setup my
computer with a static ip and i can see the network and access the servers
but i still cannot get on the internet using internet explorer..The nic is
fine and the cable is fine... When dhcp is enabled i get a windows
autoconfiguration ip and not a dhcp...If anyone can help please email me at
(e-mail address removed) or post...

Thanks,
jca

If you boot configured for DHCP and run "IPCONFIG /RENEW" from the CMD
prompt, do you get a address then? If not, what error do you get? You
should also check the scope on the DHCP server and make sure there are
addresses available. You might also try setting up a reservation for your
Win2K pro machine and see if it'll take that address.
