DHCP server

I moved a windows 2000 adv dhcp server from one server to
another windows 2000 adv server. The original DHCP is
still active and the source DHCP server is also active. I
used a utility called dhcpexim.exe which exports some of
the scopes, while it is exporting the scopes it
deactivates them but not all to the source dhcp server.
The clients that are in this scope are not picking up an
ip address. I do not know why. The source server is a DNS
server and a domain controller. Any help would be
appreciated.

Thank you in advance....

you have to autorize new server or if new server is in
another vlan you should reconfigure dhcp forward option
on routers

Hi Bob,

I think you are having the problem decribed in the following KB

287031 DHCP Server Does Not Issue IP Leases After You Run Dhcpexim.exe

Thanks for the response I tried that but that does not
seem to be the problem. Any other suggestions?

We have authorized the new server. The server 172..x.x.x
static ip address. We have multiple scopes for each
department throughout our corporation. Which of course are
vlans.

Thanks.........
