DHCP - Good Idea/Bad idea

Currently, our DHCP service is running on a Windows 2000 Adv. Server.
Having followed [unsuccessfully] Microsoft's guide to moving DHCP from a
2000 to 2003 server, I was thinking of doing the following. Has anyone
tried this?

During off hours:
Install the DHCP service on the designated 2003 Server.
Configure the Scope, Exclusions and Settings as they currently exist on the
2000 Server.
Authorizing this "new" scope.
Stop/Un-authorize the DHCP service running on the 2000 server.

Either re-start or run ipconfig/release, renew on all dynamic clients.

Did I mis anything? Will this work?

Yes that will work.
Don't forget to check dns for any dhcp related records that point to the old
2000 server. Either edit or replace them with new records that point to the
new dhcp server.
