Device name disappears

Under network place, I can connect to other pcs or network devices using
their ips. However, I cannot see their names. Can someone advise how to
show their names instead as it is easier to identify themselves.

Turn on Network discovery. And make sure you enabled NetBIOS in TCP/IP
advanced options of your network card.
