Device Manager -Universal Serial Bus Controllers

Just the other day, I was able to plug in the usb modem into the usb port(on
board) and goes to internet. The mobo is Xcel/2000. Now, I found out that
usb ports were not detected, what could be wrong. Any ideas
 
If there is no USB controller stated in the DM, is it because my OS been
corrupted or it is that the usb port is faulty. Any opinion as how can I
resolve the issue ,TIA,
