Device Installer error

Device installer

EQUIPMENT: Windows 2000 / pentium 1V
equivalent / 512 Mb Ram / 2.0 USB ports / Lynksys
Firewall / EZ Antivirus / Ad-Aware /
Spybot.

Problem: I have just purchased a Western
Digital 160 Gb External hard drive. Windows does not
recognize the new "Plug and Play" hardware. The
following error message appears in the
Device Installer Error box: " Windows could not
load the Installer for Tapecontroller..
Contact hardware vendor. What does this message
mean.

Go into your BIOS settings, to detect the new hard drive...then try again.
