I am having frequent crashes of my XP node connected to a Server 2003. This
has happened after I reformatted my hard drive and re-installed XP. I have
tried uninstalling and, thereafter, re-installing my 2 Ethernet cards but
the problem seems to persist. I shall be grateful if some one can guide me
how to prevent this recurrence.

Thanking you in advance

Why two network adapters? Are they made by the same company and are they
the same model??

Thanks for your interest.

I have two adapters - one for the intranet and one for the cable internet.
Yes they are from the same company, Surecom, but different models. They were
working fine in my earlier installation. They work fine but whenever I
disable to cable internet or enable it the system crashes. It also crashes
when I use my dial-up modem for a different ISP.

I have tried updating the drivers but while updating the system crashes and
so have to do a system restore for better functionality. Have run SFC also.
