I had to format my machine and re-install Windows XP Professional. It has 2
LAN cards, one for local intranet and one for cable internet. After the
installation the system crashes on any of the two actions if and when I
take:
1. Disabling the cable network
2. Dialing a dial-up network, when ever the need arises.

Can some one provide a solution for this problem. Thanking you in advance.

After you installed Windows, did you install all the drivers for your
hardware - including your motherboard?

Thanks for your reply. Yes, the drivers for the hardware including mother
board were installed.

Then I'm not sure. Look in Event Viewer to see if there are any clues as
to what is failing. Start>Run>eventvwr.msc [enter]
