Profile Issue

One of the users has a roaming profile and logs on to the SBS2003 from
Windows XP Professional. Every few days the user finds it a problem in
logging on to the domain and a new temporary local user is created. On the
XP machine, the original users profile is renamed and when the user logs on
again, every thing works fine.

What can be the reason for this problem and what permanent solution can be
done for this?

Thanking you in anticipation.
