Device Driver Causes Reboot

Recently my computer started rebooting periodically,
usually after the monitor shut-off executes from the
power save options. When the error message opens after
Windows XP is rebooted, it says a device driver caused
the error, but that no further information is available.
I tried changing the power save settings but it still did
it. It usually occurs when Internet Explorer, Windows
Explorer and/or Microsoft Word 2003, which I recently
installed, are running. I tried to repair Internet
Explorer and Word, but it still occurs. I have not
recently installed hardware, and I don't know of any
other software installed recently either. Any ideas? I
can provide further information if needed. Thanks.

Check this out
Control panel>system>advanced>startup and recovery,if the
block marked reboot after system errors is checked
uncheck it.This should stop the rebooting and may also
give more details on what error is happening

I did this and now it just freezes up the computer with a
grey screen and I have to hard reboot the computer. It
gives me no further information on what the problem is.
