Desktop Theme-no text displayed

After changing Desktop Theme, all the pages show black backround and Icons
but text is lost in the black backround. From start menu I can't get to the
control panel to change display settings. I've tried safe mode, same problem
and I can't sign in as administrator just user(forgot password). In safe mode
tried "last good setting" but still no help. I can't get to system restore to
move back in time. I'm lost.

When I select my user name the Safe Mode, desktop loads but no dialog box,
just black screen-Safe Mode in each corner and 2 lone Icons, a yellow
triangle with an "!" in it and a small white box with blue trim at top.
Nothing will activate. I can't get any text to begin to try restore or pass
word reset. I would love to get to Syst Restore. I know I have
Check Points well before this happened. Still no luck with the Administrator
pass word. I still wonder if a reinstall would get me back to MS default
settings, if I can get it to run. Any thoughts? Thanks, I don't have easy
access to this site now, thanks for your patients.

Start safe mode command prompt instead of safe mode. Choose administrator
log in. Type %systemroot%\system32\restore\rstrui.exe at command prompt to
try and get into system restore.
