desktop items customize

I have been getting some new HP workstations with XP Pro on them. Normally I
add the built in Internet Explorer icon to peoples desktop. But when I go to
Display Properties > Customize Desktop > Desktop Items, the Internet Explorer
check box is not even there.

The link below shows how it looks when it is there.

I have gotten around it for now by using Tweak UI for XP to add the icon,
but would like to get it added back into where it normally is so all users
can access this choice.


Any ideas?

Sam, why don't you just send a shortcut to the desktop from Internet
Explorer. You can remove the arrow from the shortcut
using TweakUI http://thundercloud.net/infoave/tutorials/noarrows.htm
