desktop.ini opening when I log in

When I login to a user account on my newly setup
XPHome system - quite often desktop.ini opens in
Notepad on the desktop. Why is this and how can I
stop it?

I'm a newbie with XP having just switched from
Win98SE and on a steep learning curve.

Many thanks.

Thank you Alan. Had two or three of those files
containing that particular string - but not in All
Users - in individual user account folders. I've
deleted them.
